Yesterday we had a big BBQ for Mark's 21st, featuring lots of Americans. It was good, although communication occasionally breaks down. My accent is apparantly mind-boggling. I was getting homesick to be quite honest with you.
Food was very good though, I'm very appreciative of the portion sizes here. And the courses. If you have a starter and then a main course, they give you a salad in between courses. Madness. Who needs THAT much food ?
Day Eight - Monday 21st June 2010
Had my first Italian meal yesterday. They sure like garlic. American meals are insane. Massive portions, free salads and breads. Stop force feeding me. Though it was nice bread.
Also did a bit of shopping. Gap America is much better than the UK's. Banana Republic is just as ridiculous however. We also had McDonalds. Drink sizes are outrageous !
This is the best smoothie I have ever had; the Mango Tango from Jamba Juice !
Today is a rest day, though a quick visit to King Soopers is required for more cereal and even more tootsie rolls.
